If you are looking for a ranch-style steakhouse, this place is for you. We went on a Saturday night and it is recommended that you make a reservation. We did not and had to wait over an hour for a table. They have a bar area as well which was also packed. So when we noticed a table in the bar area was free, we took it. Who knows how much longer we would have waited for a table if we hadn’t taken this table.

We ordered the original steak dinner for two. The first appetizer was the salad which came with the meal. They have many salad dressings to chose from – we chose ranch.

Next was the other appetizer, the artichoke cheese dip. This was really good. It had chunky artichokes with a lot of cheese. The dip came with sourdough bread and lettuce. Both are good tasty vessels for the artichoke dip. The greens give it a light, earthy feel. Whereas the bread gives you a hearty, full taste.

I ordered the 9oz prime rib. It came with mashed potatoes, au jus, and horseradish. I ordered it medium rare but you can order the steak just how you like it. The meat was tender with a little toughness. It didn’t cut like butter, but it tasted really good. I recommend eating a least one bite with horseradish. The horseradish gives it kick that tastes so good.

There was a side of beans. The beans were sweet and just okay. They are traditional American bbq beans. Sweet beans are not my favorite. We also ordered the Rib Eye.

The rib eye came with mashed potatoes but you can also order French fries or a baked potato, if you prefer to not have mashed potatoes. The steak was good, some parts were tender, and some parts were tough. The crispy onions gave the steak some crunchiness and added flavor.
We did order the cheesecake for dessert but didn’t take a picture. The cheesecake was smooth and not too sweet. Just the way I like it.
Conclusion
Iverall Cattlemen’s has good tasting steak. I recommend you go to any of the Cattlemens locations. I would go back and try their other dishes. I rate it a 7/10.
