Rosemarys Farm To Fork Cafe

03.13.23 | Christina

Local ingredients. Delicious Food. Guilt free eating

Entrance for Rosemarys

It is finally the weekend! What does the weekend call for? Yup, you said it! Brunch with the ladies, your man, your significant other, or yourself for a self care day. I currently live in Northern California, and I’m constantly on the hunt for a good place to eat. There are TONS of places to chose for a great meal; however, Rosemary’s Farm to Fork Cafe has won my heart. The cookie alone was worth the drive. Look at the size!

Maple Ice Coffee and Chocolate Chip Cookie

A good friend from the Bay Area recommended we meet halfway to enjoy brunch. We decided on Dixon. I was pleasantly surprised to find this cafe on a Main Street in the middle of other restaurants, shops, and bars. When we arrived, we noticed the place was packed. This, my friend, means it is gooooood! When you enter you’ll see these cozy cafe seating booths or benches around the cafe. I know I’m supposed to review the food, but the interior design of this cafe was beautifully done and should not go unnoticed. They have a set menu made with ingredients sourced locally. They are also paleo, gluten free, keto friendly, and macro friendly.

Wild Thing Smoothie

Blueberries, bananas, almond milk, honey

We had this the rose’s way, which is adding spinach, substituting stevia for honey, collagen, and almond butter. This smoothies was recommended by one of the staff. She was wonderful and patient with us while we tried to order the whole menu. LOL. The picture does not do this smoothie justice and I was not expecting it to taste so good. The almond butter made the smoothie have a nice thick creamy texture. It was a sweet smoothie, but not overly sweet. If I was not wanting a big meal, this would fill me up. The smoothies are perfect for someone on-the-go or wanting something quick.

Avocado Toast

Fresh local sourdough, eggs, fresh smashed avocado, local micro greens, marinated tomatoes, flakey salt, bacon (+3)

The avocado toast comes with poached eggs, but my friend was feeling scrambled eggs this day. The avocado toast was massive! It came out to be $15.00 with the addition of the bacon. It was loaded and filling. I’m pretty sure it was 2-3 inches tall. The eggs were fluffy and not over cooked. The sourdough tasted as if it was baked in the morning. Soft on the inside and a nice crunchy crust. I make this at home frequently, so I would want to pick the other great options they offer. If I was really craving it, and did not want to make it, I’d come here.

Crispy Vanilla Waffle

Almond flour, maple syrup, and organic butter

Wow! The waffle is a little piece of heaven. The crunch of the waffle, hints of vanilla, sweet decadent maple syrup, and smooth butter spread. A perfect bite all in one. I never had a waffle made with almond flour, I was pleasantly surprised. Not pictured was a side of millionaire bacon, which is candied bacon. If you love maple syrup, you will love this. Taste just as good as the maple syrup in Canada!

Overall, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. We had a HUGE sweet tooth this day. We loved everything and left with a happy belly. Rosemary’s has so many savory options that I can’t wait to try on my next visit. The staff recommended we try the chipotle steak tacos, citrus braised pork and sweet potato tacos, and pesto chicken sandwich on our next visit. The staff were very sweet, friendly, and accommodating. This felt like a great spot for families and friends. We could tell locals adore this place.
